On May 23^rd our very own Lillian August made a guest appearance for two events at our Norwalk Design Center.  The first, was our annual staff spring breakfast where Lillian helped to rally the staff and inspire us with her new Spring Highpoint collection and fabrics.  The second event was an intimate gathering and light lunch with Lillian hosting some of our biggest trade clients.

Lillian’s new collection features a mixture of transitional, modern and antique inspired pieces spanning several genres of design to create a “collectors approach” to home decor. Her philosophy is to build a collection of beautiful, varied pieces that make a statement of individuality, rather then a predictable everything has to “match” concept.

The spring collection (Just featured at the Highpoint Market) has many new features.  The spring fabric line features fabulous, fresh colors and patterns, gleaned by her close following of women’s European fashion.  In addition to inspiring colors and patterns, Lillian has made it easy for a client to mix and match patterns and color but may feel uneasy about making a bold choice.  She has attached several coordinating fabrics to her favorite fabrics in the line within her fabric rings to offer possibilities and direction.  (Fabric rings can be found in all Lillian August Collection showrooms).  Another exciting feature in Lillian’s upcoming line (due out fall 2012) is in addition to the distinct color options, she and her parent company, Hickory White are in the process of customizing her case goods line so that special sizing and finishes can be applied to almost all pieces.  

Lillian has teamed up with Soiche Marin to reproduce some gorgeous artwork to coordinate with her line as well as lighting from Currey and Company.
