This past winter was a rough one here in Connecticut but for the members of the Lillian August To the Trade program, it was a time for networking, education and fun. Here’s a look back at recent Lillian August events that had our community of interior design professionals wining and dining the cold weather blues away.
Roundtable Luncheon with New England Home
An inspiring group of interior designers came together at the LA Café in our Norwalk Design Center in February for an informal luncheon led by New England Home’sStacy Kunstel and Holly Hunt representative, Lauren Cooke. We traded tips on marketing in today’s information age and shared a lot of laughs in the process.

C&G Shop the Look
This winter Lillian August introduced Shop the Look, a new e-commerce partnership with Cottages & Gardens that allows our audience to shop the pages of C&G magazine features with just one click to the Lillian August website. To celebrate the launch of Shop the Look, we showcased the work of one of our trade clients, Jennifer O’Reilly, whose beautiful home came to life not only in the pages of Connecticut Cottages & Gardens but with an in-store vignette in our Norwalk Design Center and on our online shop.

Holland & Sherry Luncheon and Tour of the LA Custom Workroom
Holland & Sherry invited a select group of design professionals to visit their new showroom at the Norwalk Design Center. Not only did designers get to hear the inspirations behind the company’s collection of luxe fabrics, rugs and wall coverings, but they got a behind the scenes look at our custom workroom. Here we showed the fine construction of custom pillows and window treatments made in-house at Lillian August with Holland & Sherry fabrics.

Just because the weather is finally nicer, does not mean that we are taking a break from the festivities. Earlier this moth we hosted a Fabric & Design Trade Show with Luxe Interiors + Design that featured the new spring collections from twenty fabric and rug vendors.

Trade professionals have even more events to look forward to later this spring and summer. On April 29th architects and designers are invited to come to the Norwalk Design Center to view our unique “Living Wall” and to learn about this sustainable interior vertical garden by Green Acres Landscape & Design.
Be sure to also mark your calendars for one of the biggest events for the local design community. On May 14th Lillian August will once again host the Serendipity Design Market Digest at our Greenwich store. It’s a fun evening not just for trade professionals, but for all design enthusiasts, with book signings, goody bags and great food.
