Gashghai, Hand Knotted Persian Runner Rug - 2' 4" x 10' 2"

Woven by the nomadic Gashghai people of the Zagros Mountains and known for their geometric yet anomalous patterns. In Gashghai tradition, women work communally on all phases of the weaving process, from foraging for barks and herbs for creating dyes to tying each knot by hand. This meticulous process makes these beautiful pieces not only durable but extremely plush as well. All our Persian rugs have been imported pre-embargo, and represent the finest craftsmanship authentic to the regions where they originated.
